Noun a person, place, thing, or idea
Pronoun a word that replaces a noun, can be used in the place of a noun
Verb a word that expresses action or being
Adjective a word that modifies (adds to or enhances) a noun
Adverb a word that modifies a verb (tells how, when, etc)
Preposition a word that shows the relationship between its object (the noun or pronoun that follows the preposition) and another word in the sentence
Conjunction a word that connects words to other words or groups of words
Interjection a word or short group of words expressing strong feeling.
