Student E-mail accounts:
All SFHS 9th graders are given a school email account.
You are to use it for the following purposes:
- e-mailing assignments to your CyberEnglish teacher or
other teachers
- e-mailing teachers, counselors or principals to ask
questions or express concerns
- e-mailing yourself to transfer assignments (remember
that Hotmail accounts do not always allow attachments)
- e-mailing your parents your mid-quarter report
- e-mailing your web pal
- e-mailing your cyberpartner
- e-mailing other students you when you are working on
assignments with them or if you have something educational to share: a url, an
idea, etc.
- e-mailing articles to The Talon when you are a member
of that staff
- other authorized purposes (if you're not sure, ask your
teacher)
Here's how you can lose your account (temporarily or
permanently):
- e-mailing inappropriate messages or material to anyone
- forwarding SPAM (including jokes, etc.)
- using e-mail during class when you are to be on a
specified task
You should know that it is possible for network
administrators to check and read your email at any time. School e-mail is for
your educational use. It is not private in this sense.
E-mail is given to you as a privilege and not a right. You
can lose it. DON'T lose it.
